ArchMage是一個射擊游戲，在這個夢幻的虛擬世界中，玩家可以扮作年輕的男巫與龍一起並肩作戰，或扮作女巫使用神秘的獨腳獸進行作戰，消滅眾多的惡魔，從而拯救lake shire。在35個游戲關卡中，玩家將和巨大的獸人，異性昆蟲，獨眼巨人，石像怪，龍，以及其他邪惡的野獸進行作戰，而最後將面對的是demon king。
值得關注的是，游戲中出現的runes和spells都是以往射擊游戲里沒有的。
